Also, as the weather constantly changes outside, If your windows are not correctly sealed, a lot of heat could escape from your house, driving up your gas and heating costs! 3. Invest in a Programmable Thermostat

A programmable thermostat is totally worthwhile to purchase, especially when the temperature drops. You could cut your annual air conditioning/heating costs by up to 10% if you lower your thermostat while you’re away during the day. 4. Get the Garage in Order

The garage probably needs some organization given the summer’s craziness. To make your garage more organized year-round, add some shelving or hooks. While you’re at it, why not take out your fall decorations?
